Who Am I?
I am a visual artist; born and raised in Cairo - Egypt, and currently based in Cairo. My studies in fine art came after I left behind a career in banking. I moved to London in 2016 to study Master of Arts - Painting at University of the Arts London.
Since 2017, my works were included in a number of group exhibitions in Egypt, UK, China and India.
In addition, I joined a number of international biennales among which “Dafen International Oil Biennale” in China, and “Ars Electronica” in Austria, and was selected for the Chisinau International Oil Biennale in Moldova.
My works are included in several private and public collections in the USA, UK, China, Greece and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
My works are among the permanent collection of Dafen Museum in China, the Children Museum in Egypt and COPELOUZOS Family Museum in Greece.
In 2021, my works were auctioned and acquired in London for the benefit of eliminating hepatitis C from the UK.
My first solo show was in 2017 at the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in London; my second solo show was in Cairo in February 2019, and my third solo show was in Janauary 2023 in Shagaret El Dor Restaurant in Cairo.
I am being represented by Janet Rady Fine Art gallery in London.
I also studied neuroscience with Harvard which informed my current body of work.
What do I do?
I work towards commissions; public and private.
My works are informed by neuroscience. However, they are not illustrations of the neural network, but are rather a close up on certain human emotions. Those emotions that we unconsciously tend to hide or ignore. My work magnifies those emotions so that they become hard to be unnoticed or ignored. All of my works are signed and dated on reverse.
